Thanks for stopping by. I’m Bethany: Believer, cat-lover and coffee aficionado.
I’m an American upper primary school teacher working abroad in Auckland, New Zealand. I write here on TWE as a way to reflect on things I’m trying in the classroom and encourage fellow teachers. The word “endurance” means “the capability of something to last wear and tear.” I think this epitomises my goal in my teaching career, and hopefully yours too! I want to push past the hard things and endure because it’s something I love believe in wholeheartedly
I’m keen to try anything in the classroom and hope this blog provides a space for you to come for new ideas, products, and encouragement! I’m most passionate about student choice, tech-based learning, and helping teachers recover their lives outside of school.
When not in the classroom, you can find me snuggling with my kitties, checking out local cafes, and attending barre classes. Feel free to pop me an email on my contact page or DM on Instagram! I’d love to learn more about you!
May your coffee be strong and your students stay calm!
